DOVER SQUAD 1 Goes into Service

Today at noon the Dover Fire Department proudly placed in service a 2020 Pierce Enforcer Rescue Engine. This unit is equipped with a 1500 gallon per minute Waterous pump with the Husky 12 onboard foam system. It carries 700 gallons of water and 50 gallons of Class A foam. The unit has 1,100’ of

5” Large Diameter Hose, 500’ 2.5” and 4- 1 3/4” preconnected hand lines. This unit has a full complement of Engine Company equipment. It also carries a full spread of Rescue Company equipment to include Holmatro extrication equipment, Rescue 42 Struts, Air Bags and Cribbing. This truck has Ropes and Rigging for High Angle and Confined Space, as well as Water and Ice Rescue. This unit was designed to provide the highest quality of service to the greater Dover area.

This unit will be known as DOVER SQUAD 1.

Squad 1 responded to its first run just after 1400hrs.
