At the request of the Governor's Office, Chief Matt Carey and Deputy Chief Mark Hall attended the signing of House Bill 233 the "School Safety Act". This bill allows for police and fire to have knowledge of the school prior to an incident as well as training for the school and the public safety agencies. This bill was signed at W Reilly Brown Elementary School. Also in attendance was Assistant to the Fire Chief, Patrick Smith, Delaware State Police, Capitol Police and Representative Scott. This bill was sponsored by the Delaware Dept. Of Safety and Homeland Security
