Working House Fire - S. Governors Ave

On August 10, 2012 at 1852, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working house fire at 212 S. Governors Ave. Asst Chief Whitt responded in the Command Car and was first on scene to find a 2-1/2-story, single family dwelling with a smoke condition on division 2. E2 arrived on scene, established a water supply and advanced a 1-3/4” attack line through the front door for an interior attack. E3 and L1 arrived on scene and assisted with fire attack, search and rescue and ventilation. The crews contained the fire to the room of origin. The search and rescue was complete with negative findings. One firefighter received minor injuries and was treated and released at the local trauma center. The fire is being investigated by the City of Dover and State FMO.
