Working House Fire - Lexington Pl

On April 16, 2012 at 0443, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working house fire at 193 Lexington Place. Alert City of Dover Public Works employees were in the neighborhood performing hydrant flushing when they notice flames coming from the residence. E4, under the direction of Asst Chief D. Carey, arrived on scene to find a 2-story, end of the row townhome, with fire showing from the “C” side of the residence. E4 established a water supply and advanced a 1-3/4” attack line through the front door for an interior attack. L2 arrived on scene and performed a search and rescue with negative findings. L1 arrived on scene and was directed to advance a second 1-3/4” attack line inside the residence. E6 arrived on scene and established the RIT. The fire was extinguished and salvage and overhaul were performed. The scene was placed under control. The fire is being investigated by the City of Dover FMO.
