Christmas Eve MVC w/ Entrapment - 3494 Forrest Ave

On December 24, 2011 at 2139, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a motor vehicle collision (MVC) with multiple subjects trapped at 3494 Forrest Ave. Dover E2, under the direction of Past Chief Bashista was first on scene. A size up was given and Command was passed to Deputy Chief West inbound in the Command car. Once on scene, Command placed Past Chief Bashista in charge of the extrication. Dover E6 and R1 arrived on scene. Crews stabilized the vehicle, removed the doors flapped the roof and displaced the dash to gain access to the entrapped subjects. Two adults and one pediatric patient were transported to the local Trauma Center for evaluation. The accident is under investigation by the Delaware State Department.
