Emergency Dial 9-1-1
On October 06, 2011 at 2115 hrs, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a wash down as the result of a MVC. E4 under the direction of Chief Fortney was first on scene to find a vehicle on its side, resting up on the jersey barrier overtop of Bay Rd. All occupants had self extricated themselves prior to the fire departments arrival. Crews contained any leaking fluids. North bound SR-1 was shut down for a short period of time as well as southbound Bay Rd. due to a debris field and removal of the vehicle. One subject was transported to the local emergency department for evaluation. The incident is under investigation by the Delaware State Police. Units on scene: Dover E4, E6 Delaware State police
