On Thursday, February 1st, at approximately 2:49am, Engine 2, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Squad 1, Engine 4, Engine Co 43 along with St Francis and Kent County EMS were dispatched to a working house fire on Grinding Wheel Drive in the Millcreeek development. Engine 2 arrived with a staffed duty crew and found a two story duplex with fire showing from the second floor.

Two 1-3/4 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire. Crews searched the residence with negative results. Firefighters remained on scene for approximately 2-1/2 hours. The scene was turned over to the City of Dover Fire Marshals Office to investigate.
