On Saturday February 25th 2017 @ 15:15hr, Dover Firefighters were alerted for a vehicle fire on North duPont Highway in the area of West Denny's Road. Engine 4, under the direction of Captain Sean Byron, arrived to find a pick up truck well involved with fire with extension into the field and wooded area east of the scene. The crew of Engine 4 split up, to make sure that the fire didn't extend further into the wooded area. Engine 7 arrived a few minutes later and was directed to assist with extinguishing the field and woods fire. The scene was placed under control a short time later and was turned over to the Delaware State Police.
