Early Morning Working House Fire

On October 25, 2016 at 0437, the Dover Fire Department was alerted for a working house fire on N. Kirkwood St. E4, under the direction of Deputy Chief Ronald Rhodes, arrived on scene to find a two and a half story, single family dwelling with fire showing from the second floor. The home owner related that all subjects were out of the house. E4 laid a 50’ 5” supply line to the hydrant and secured a water source. The crew advanced a 1-3/4” attack line through the front door to the second floor. L1 and L2 arrived and threw ground ladders, assisted with fire suppression and search and rescue. The fire was contained to the room of origin. The scene was placed under control and turned over to the City FMO.
