Working House Fire

Thursday, July 14, 2016

On December 21, 2015, just prior to 19:00hrs, Dover firefighters, along with ALS and BLS, were dispatched to the report of a working house fire in the Capitol Park community. Units arrived on scene to find fire coming from the alpha/delta corner of the roof/attic area. Engine 3 arrived and stretched an attack line through the front door, while the crew from Ladder 1 went to the roof and opened up. Crews quickly got water on the fire and darkened it down. The bulk of the fire was confined to the attic and roof area of the house. As remaining crews arrived, they assisted in overhaul and clean up. The scene was placed under control and turned over to the SFire Marshal. Deputy Chief Carleton Carey Jr. had command.
