Working House Fire - Mifflin Rd.

On May 23, 2011 at 1859, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to 70 Mifflin Road for a Working House fire. E3 under the direction of Past Chief Bashista was first on scene and found fire showing from the Charlie side of a 1-story single family dwelling. E3 secured a water source and advanced an 1-3/4” attack line through the front door of the residence. Crews found two rooms fully involved with extension into attic and the rear of the structure. E4 arrived on scene; Past Chief Bashista passed Command to Assistant Chief Carey. E4's crew advanced a second 1-3/4” attack line through the front to assist with fire attack. L2 arrived on scene, laddered the structure and performed vertical ventilation. E41-3 assisted with fire attack and extinguished the attic. E6 arrived on scene and advanced a 300’ 1-3/4” attack line to the rear of the structure. Medical personnel on scene provided patient care to the homeowner who was home at the fires onset. The fire is currently under investigation by the City of Dover FMO.
