Sunday, September 17, 2017

On September 16, 2017 at 1341, the DFD started taking several calls on a working fire in the rear of 72 Stevenson Dr in the Manchester Square development. Fire Chief Carleton Carey Jr. was first on scene to find a two-story, middle of the row, townhouse with fire on the “C” side. E4 arrived on scene and established a water supply. Crews advanced the 300’ 1-3/4” attack line to the rear of the complex. The majority of the fire was on the exterior with some extension into the soffit. L2, L1 and E54-4 (RIT) arrived on scene and laddered the building and made forcible entry to search the thought to believed vacant home. Searches proved negative. After a brief overhaul, the situation was placed under control and turned over to the City FMO for investigation.
